Should I be worried?

Yesterday before dinner O was acting as if her shirt was itching her.  Then she said "I'm just going to take my shirt off"  I asked why and she said.  "I just want to see my boobies.  Look mommy there are my boobies.  Look Daddy there are my boobies."  All the while grabbing at her boobs.  Please don't let this become a thing she does.

Christmas is coming

So Christmas is coming and O wants a Thomas Choo Choo from Santa.  We took her to see Santa and she became very shy which is funny since Santa pretty much looks like Grandpa John except fatter.  At least the mall has gotten smart about it and put the girls on a chair and had Santa sit behind them.  O was so upset after we left that she didn't actually tell Santa she wanted a choo choo because she was scared of him.  We told her Tim told Santa(which he did).  O is starting to understand the whole Christmas thing but it is not quite working because she is not easily dismissed by the idea that if she is naughty we will tell Santa not to bring her what she wants.  Stella as of Saturday is growing four new teeth.  They make her very unhappy easily but in all reality she is taking it with stride only really getting pink cheeks from rubbing them a lot and she does like to scream.  (I'm pretty sure that is more about her hearing her own voice instead of being frustrated).  Stella didn't ask for anything specifically from Santa but she also did not like to sit on his lap.  Stella has been quite the chatter lately and talks with such inflection that I swear in her head she is saying just what she is supposed to.  I think she is going to be very smart.  I am biased.  O is starting to become part of the terrible threes and a drama queen to boot.  She has such the imagination and I am looking for ways for her to have an outlet to work creatively.  She knows when she is being a stinker which is making life very difficult.  The other day she went into the pantry, told me "I just need something OK"  I told her no you don't just need something so she took all of the plastic silverware out and threw it all over the kitchen.  When I told her to clean it up she looked at me and yelled "You pick it up"  then she was put in her room for timeout.  When I told her she was done she sat at her door and said I'm not ready to be done because I'm not picking those up.  Finally she was ready but it took some coaxing I am dreading this three thing.  On the other hand I have sweet Stella who I knew from birth would be a handful so I know she will eventually turn into a bigger goofball than O.  L is currently cruising around the furniture and will walk a few steps from person to person but she is slow going which in a way is just fine by me.

We survived

Well both of us survived Halloween and Thanksgiving.  Mom missed Halloween because of work but O got a lot of candy and still asks everyday if she can have a piece of "my Halloween candy, it's in my Elmo Bucket"  O is getting very long hair and wants to ask Santa for a choo choo a Thomas Choo Choo.  She is very excited for Christmas this year and is finally understanding things which makes it more fun for everyone.  She tells strangers that it is Christmas time.  Thanksgiving she didn't really get except for the fact that we went to Auntie Angie's and had turkey but in reality what else is there to understand.  L loved Thanksgiving she has given up on baby food for the most part and on Turkey day ate two good sized pieces of Turkey, a scoop of mashed potatoes, an entire bun, and a spoonful of gluten free stuffing.  She would have eaten more if I would have given it to her she absolutely loved it.  She is more difficult to decide for xmas especially with her birthday coming so close in January.  Tim and I believe that L is going to soon get all of her baby teeth on the bottom all at once.  She is so funny now making faces and sticking her tongue out.  Also she makes mommy feel loved by welcoming her home everyday with a cry for not picking her up fast enough then basically ripping my face off with her hands grabbing as hard as she can to give me a big smootch.  Oh to be a mom sometimes we have to take a beating to get a little love:)  Excited for XMAS with the girls they can't wait for Santa to come and O loves the snow very much.  The first snow fall we had to go outside and make a snowman as soon as possible.  Even when it snowed today she said look it's winter outside.  She is becoming more intelligent with every passing day.  She currently loves reading books about trucks which she memorizes when I read them so she can help the next time.  She also loves watching Cars and Nokio (Pinocchio) for those of you who don't speak O.  Winter is fun but already looking forward to the summer together when I am sure both of them will be running around.

Fall Time Photos By Mom

It takes a lot for O to actually look at the camera but I got a few.  Also Stella loves being pushed by O in the red car.  It is her favorite thing to do and throws a fit when O wants a turn to be pushed.

Whats new with us

Stella is now pulling herself up on everything.  She constantly wants to stand up and even trys to take a few steps around things.  She is now as of last Sunday 10/2 the proud owner of four teeth.  She got her top two within a week of one another and she is starting to act like more might be coming in soon.  She says DaDa and BaBa and I swear that I heard her say grandpa today.  She is getting bigger every day.  She still is very bound and determined and knows what she wants.  On friday night we went to buffalo wild wings for dinner and when they set my plate in front of me with fries on it; it was barely on the table and she already had swiped a fry and eaten the whole thing.  She loves more texture to her food and wishes that she could just eat real people food instead of baby food.
Olivia is getting better at going potty but is still one day at a time.  Her funny sayings right now are when she pees on the floor and then says "Olivia" basically shaming herself.  She also is still gaga about uncle Chris and was able to quickly see him yesterday and today.  When she is not around him she constantly tells me that we are going to his house or pretends to call him on the phone when we play.  I may be concerned if this continues.  She still loves cars and trains and loves to pretend to be a monkey in our backyard tree.  We went to the zoo last week and Olivia loved looking at all of the animals.  She loves it there so much that when we got into the car she said lets go and see the monkeys again.  We have been very busy because O and I go to class on Tuesday night.  Ooey, Gooey, Sticky, and Slimey.  Which is so fun to just have the time alone together plus O loves getting all dirty and making artwork.  On Wednesdays we have girls night while Tim is at school and go to Everyday Parenting class, that O calls playtime and it is great she gets to socialize with other kids and mommy gets a break to be with other adults.  Then we have dinner together.  Last Wednesday O said I want pancakes for dinner so that is what we had.  She continues to surprise me everyday, especially when she gets in the car and says God Damn mommy.  I tell her it is a bad word and that she will have timeout and so the next day she says I need time out "God Damn"  she is goofy that way where she actually knows when she needs a break from it all and just walks over to the timeout area and sits there for a couple minutes.  She makes this parenting thing way too easy.
The girls both love staying home with dad but I also can see that Olivia misses having kids around all the time but she is adjusting nicely.

O and L

Both girls this week continue to crack me up.  O wants to be my little helper she loves bringing me and Tim towels when we get out of the shower.  I am hoping that this is not a look into her future.  She also cracks me up when she finds my bra laying on the floor and tells me look mom I found your boobies.  Or that I have lost my boobies because I took my bra off.  L got her two top teeth today they are not fully in but they are working on it.  We learned how to give high five today and love to clap for ourselves when we do something good.  We spent last night at Grandma Susan and Grandpa Johns so today we were very tired.  Especially O since she refuses to take her new lightening Mcqueen slippers off and slips all over the place and into things:(

Olivia: Too smart for words

Loves to eat on the deck
Olivia is 2 but has to be one of the smartest two year olds you would ever encounter.  She currently loves to play with cars, and trucks, and trains.  Really anything that she can drive on her mat that looks like roads and tracks.  She is very sweet to Stella.  She has timeout almost everyday because she is very stubborn and does not listen.  But still she just walks right to where she is supposed to sit for timeout and sits there until you say she is done.  What kid does that?  She loves pizza and chicken nuggets but also loves yogurt.  This week she is addicted to yogurt and grapes and usually the food changes every week.  If I buy either one of those things next week she probably won't eat either one of them.  She is starting to become a big helper and likes to help me do things.  She continually talks to me from the moment that she gets up until bedtime.  The potty training is going slowly but surely but I need to push the underwear more.  The problem with that is that she goes through the five pair she has so quickly that I don't know what to do unless I just force her to stay in them.  We have been staying home a lot more now that I have gone back to work and O has been home with dad which I think she loves.  Things she does that amaze me:  yesterday I told her I didn't think we had any juice boxes and then I found one in the closet and she said this exactly "See you found one mommy good job can I have it please"  She also will throw out things like way cool or holy moly.  She asks me questions all the time and can actually pick out any cars that look like mine or Tims.  She is not ready for fall and I am realizing that I will need to sign her up for swimming lessons which she was getting pretty good at thanks to auntie Kee because she asks me everyday if it is warm enough to go swimming.  My sister got a little dog which she thinks is a toy and terrorizes and also loves to terrorize Harley on a daily basis.  Overall she is a goofball that sometimes can drive me nuts but also is so amazing I can't help but squeeze her.

Stella's New Show

My first meal July 26th, 2010
Starting Tuesday September 7th Stella started to crawl.  At first it was just a little bit and she had been doing the army crawl for about a month now and was getting good at it.  I remember O being this age and just doing the butt up in the air rocking back and forth thing.  But now only ten days after that initial crawling she is going all over the place.  I put her down in the living room this morning to then go into the bathroom and finish getting ready when all of a sudden Stella was at my feet.  She was so proud of herself.  She has the sweetest smile and loves to cuddle.  She says dada and nana and also last week decided that she was going to clap and clap and clap especially when she does something funny.  Yesterday we worked on SO BIG and she is now a pro.  Today Tim texted me a picture of her standing up in her crib when she was holding onto the railing.  She is only 7 1/2 months old I feel like she is not my little baby anymore.  At dinner tonight I could see a little part of a top tooth.  It will be her third one but has not gotten any teeth in over three months.  Eating all kinds of baby food and loves squash and sweet potatoes with corn.  Stella also loves the wheels ( a cereal thing that she chews on)  and wishes she could eat the same people food we do.  She is my snuggler and loves the mirror more than anything.
